Oak Pruning

We have entered the oak pruning season at H&H Arborists. Many of you know that oak trees (along with elm trees) can only be pruned during a certain season. The reason for this is that we want to eliminate spreading Oak Wilt. Small beetles will carry the fungus from an infected tree to an otherwise healthy tree via open wounds. So certified arborists are required by the state to not prune oak trees while those beetles are around.
